Have you been thinking about your health as of late?  If not, then you should be.

Black Men have some of the highest incidences of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Obesity puts men at a greater risk for these conditions.

AARP DC is sponsoring a 12-week fitness challenge for members of the Washington DC Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Mu Lambda Alumni Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Omega Alumni Chapter of Omega Psi Phi and the 100 Black Men of Greater Washington DC. AARP DC will give prize donations to a charity of the chapters that lose the most inches off the waist.

Yohnnie Shambourger, former Mr. Universe and professional fitness trainer will administer the challenge, instructing participants on proper dieting, and providing a workout plan for different fitness levels.
